What are you going to do for us? Conduct routine audits of the administrative and clinical team’s authorization case work using internal procedures and policies. Healthcare Utilization Management Support Specialist: To guarantee that authorization service level agreements (SLAs) are fulfilled in conformance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements, provide administrative setup and technical assistance for authorization processing. Help identify the underlying causes of quality problems and processing errors, then suggest and put into practice suitable fixes and controls to prevent mistakes in the future. 

What will YOU be working on every day? 

  • To make sure compliance is satisfied, conduct daily audits of authorization turnaround times and, if needed, coordinate completion.
  • Conduct quality and accuracy audits of authorizations handled by Authorization Support Representatives on a monthly basis (more frequently if necessary).
  • Share audit results with management and other internal employees, and suggest any necessary process modifications.
  • Resolve any processing problems that raise audit concerns by collaborating with the UMAnalyst. and suggest and put into practice suitable controls and solutions, such as post-implementation monitoring and assistance with SKYGEN’s Internal Priority Quality Initiative (IPQI) procedures. 
  • Assist the clinical and administrative team with technical tasks such as system setup, attachment vendor setup, and daily troubleshooting.
  • Help with the Enterprise System’s authorization setup and auditing.
  • To track SLA compliance and facilitate permission processing, write and execute SQL scripts.
  • Keep up-to-date understanding of URAC, NCQA, and Utilization Management/Authorization policies and processes.
